These Antonio Passolini movies are always a whole lot of fun to watch. He's got a great sense of humor and the sex is usually pretty hot as well. I also enjoy any movie that pokes a little fun at the porn industry. This latest effort brings some of VCA's big name talent to the table along with a cast that should be able to handle sex as well as the dialog required. Mondo Porno is a porn talk show with Tina Tyler interviewing famous folks from the world of smut. Her first guest is a famous porn director played by Joel Lawrence. Tyler and Lawrence easily handle the dialog, outlining his rise to the top, first as an actor and then as a director. (Inside jokes galore here folks.)

Turning to the monitor, Tina plays a clip of Joel's first performance in a loop for the "Danish Erotica" series. The grainy look of the film, the scarf around Chloe's neck and Joel's ridiculous afro wig really take me back. (Back to the days when I was holding my dad's 16mm loops up to the light to see each frame.) This is a nicely writte porn script with a whole lot of insider jokes. Lawrence and Tyler give great performances, carrying most of the dialog. I loved the way they lampooned so many porn cliches in one movie. Sexually, Chloe gets two scenes and she does a great job in both of them. Nikita Denise and Mia Smiles also give us scenes that are very, very stroke-worthy. This is a different movie for Passolini, but it's funny, nicely shot and has pretty damn good sex. That's all we can ask for from a feature.
