As the adult industry gets more familiar with the DVD format, a number of new doors open. The Virtual Sex genre has become quite popular, allowing viewers to have more control over the action. This disc from VCA incorporates many of the aspects that make those movies so popular, but it expands on the theme. In fact, it totally shatters the status quo for such discs. Part Virtual Movie, part Video game, Part Virtual Sex, Part Up Close Look at Stacy Valentine, this disc is unlike anything I've ever seen before. (And all this before the review even starts.) As with any virtual disc, it's pretty important that you at least like the focal point of the action. Stacy Valentine is the star of this movie, so being a fan, will help. Also of note before we get to the specifics, is the fact that VCA is one of the best companies in porn DVD when it comes to excellent picture and sound quality. The innovations and quality of this disc are worth looking at even if you don't normally stroke to Ms. V.

There are several different areas to enjoy on this DVD, so I'll try to follow some sort of order. The first thing to note is that there is a very good set of on screen instructions in the ?About this DVD? section. Every section is explained in text and/or audio format, making it much easier to understand the different aspects of this disc. Do check it out, you will find it quite helpful. You can also use the ?Play Options? menu to choose a specific scene, skip over the Chasing part, etc. Also, a huge feature here is the ?Hands Free? viewing option for the virtual sex. Those of you who get sick of hitting buttons during virtual sex can now watch Stacy get boned without having to control every move. There is also the ?Eye Candy? section which consists of a high quality slide show, complete with hard core shots and some camera movement on the stills to add a great deal to the usual slide show style. These side elements out of the way, we proceed to the three main sections of ?Chasing Stacy.?

The ?Chasing Stacy? part of the disc is way to follow Stacy through her day. At different points, a green icon will appear on your screen. If you want to try asking Stacy out at that point, you select the icon. If she's not quite ready to take you up on your offer, Stacy will let you know that you need to keep trying. If you are successful, then you move on to the next step. I found a few of the successful moves, but wanted to watch the whole thing play out, so I let it play. Stacy goes into the office, talks to some friends, giving us some nice tease footage along the way. Then it's off to the gym where we get to watch her work out for a bit. As you follow her, you can kind of see the logic of what might be good or bad times to ask her out. If you do miss, Stacy gives you clues. Though this part of the disc is mostly a novelty, it's well done and if you're patient, there are some rewards. (A nice shower scene and some bikini lounging.)

When you pick correctly, you can either take Stacy out on the ?Virtual Date? or go right to ?Fantasex.? I chose the date, and this is a really well done section of the disc. Stacy sits across the table in a very posh looking place, dressed to kill. The conversation is a little interview like, but Stacy makes sure to spice up her answers with some sexy tease talk and a great on screen presence. This is where things get interesting. As she tells us about some of her interesting sexual moments, we get a three way sex scene thrown into the mix. Stacy and a brunette team up to fuck Peter North. I'm not sure if this is a new scene or one pulled from the VCA archives, but it's a nice bonus that you don't expect to get with a virtual disc. (It must be old, because Peter doesn't appear to be wearing a condom.) When he pulls out of the brunette, Peter fires one of his legendary blasts right onto Stacy's face. It's an amazing shot and leaves her drenched with cum. Very hot little scene. I think if a woman were to tell me a story like this on our first date, I'd be calling for the check and ordering extra oysters to go. When Stacy isn't being incredibly complimentary, she is telling us all about the things she likes in dating and sex.

With the dinner and conversation over, it's time to get to some serious ?Fantasex.? There are three settings for you to get busy with Stacy, her place, the office and out in public. For those of you doing the math, this gives you three different virtual sex pairings. OK, not really. The scene is the same, but you get a different background. This may be the first chink in the armor for this disc. Part of me applauds the effort, but another part of me thinks that if you're going to go to the trouble of making this an option, why not go all the way? Still, you do get your choice of backgrounds, so it's a decent enough feature. There are three options for the 'mood' of your Fantasex scene. 'Slow and Romantic', 'Hot and Driving' or 'Loud and Nasty.' (There is also a no music option you can choose at this point.) With each mood, you can start with 'Foreplay', 'Oral Sex' or go right to 'Sex.'

Once you begin, there is an on screen control that allows you to customize the session. You can play with Stacy's tits, finger her pussy or a dildo on her. Depending on the mood you have selected, she will purr and writhe at your touch or scream and beg you to fuck her harder. (Quite frankly, if you're going to Fanta-fuck a babe like Stacy, why not let it all hang out?) As you use the foreplay selection, or any of the areas, you can set different heat levels. (Or you can wait and the level will increase as you watch.) Stacy gets more excited with each level. You can also choose to make her cum at any time, or to drop your own load on her face at any moment.

The oral sex option allows you to either munch Stacy's muffin, or to feed her your rod. Stacy interacts well with the camera here as she does throughout the disc, giving lots of eye contact and hand motion during her blowjob. The talk is quite hot when she's being eaten. This is a really great blowjob, one of the best I have seen Stacy give on film.

There are three positions for the sex and they are pretty standard for a virtual fuck. Stacy gives a great ride, letting us look up her body. What a hot looking pussy this babe has. You can also fuck her from above or behind, using the three levels to get hotter and hotter. Adding to your ability to mix things up, the multiple angle feature gives you a second view of the action. As before, you can pop any time you feel the need, though it's the same cumshot each time. (Hey, if you only get one, at least you get a good facial.) In the end, the Fantasex portion is a very nicely put together, exceptionally crisp and well shot first person fuck with Stacy.

Chasing Stacy does a lot of things really well. If you just take the Fantasex portion of the disc and compare it to some of the other VS lines on the market, it would stack up fairly well. What it has going for it is a lot of extra stuff. The game portion of the disc isn't something I'm going to do over and over, but it was fun and had some nice teases along the way. Ditto on the Virtual Date. It is a really nicely done feature that gives us two full sex scenes with Stacy Valentine. Much of the success of this disc is thanks to Stacy Valentine. She is perfect for the Chasing and Date sections, teasing, flirting and snubbing her way through the footage, keeping everyone interested. When the sex starts, Stacy is an enthusiastic virtual fuck who looks great. This part of the disc is not the best, but it's strong enough when combined with everything else to make put it on the highly recommended list. This is one of the best uses of DVD technology I have seen and I can't wait to see where VCA takes things next.

Starring: Stacy Valentine, along with Peter North, a couple of other guys, and a so-so brunette I've never seen before. 90% of this DVD is Stacy Valentine, and she does an excellent job. She shows some real acting talent (not that the role, herself, is terribly demanding) in the non-sex portions, and is seductive, enthusiastic, and vigorous in the sex portions.

Very well done. As with most DVDs of this type, the sound and picture quality are excellent. They're much better on my monitor (I used a DVD-ROM drive) than regular videos on my crappy VCR. The locations for the "chasing stacy" portions aren't lavish (offices, home, shopping, swimming pool, etc. ) but everything is well-chosen and looks nice. You have three background choices for the first-person POV sex: a living room, an office, or in public (looks like a mall), but the sex itself is always the same sequences on a red couch, layered on top of the different backgrounds. It would've been nice if they'd actually shot the sex in different locations, but I can understand them not wanting to film the same scenes over three times. Another plus is all the different options you have for watching the first-person POV sex: you can pick and choose positions (top, bottom, or doggie), activities (foreplay, oral, sex), and Stacy's energy level (slow, driving, nasty). Or you can pick one of the three autoplay options (slow & easy, quick & dirty, long & hard) and let the DVD run you through a preset sequence of foreplay, oral sex, & intercourse, leaving your hands free for other uses.

Great. Stacy just sizzles all the way through. She's even sexy just walking around the various locations in the "chasing stacy" portion, a game where you follow her through her day and click a spot on the screen to try to ask her out. In the first-person point-of-view sex section, which is the main feature of the DVD, she's quite convincing in her eagerness to suck you dry and have you fuck her brains out in various ways. There's no anal sex in that part, which doesn't bother me, but some people might have wanted it. There's a dressing room strip tease, which is good but a bit long, a shower masturbation scene which I really liked, and three sex scenes taken from varioius of her movies. One is a threesome with Peter North and a brunette, and it's not bad but not great. One is a jacuzzi/sauna scene (Stacy and a guy) done sort of in the style of Andrew Blake but with a tempo and music that won't instantly put you to sleep; this was a good scene. The third scene from her movies was Stacy having sex with a guy on the beach; in this she looks hot, and fucks hotter--great scene.

The overall variety and quality of all the material included on this DVD is really impressive. There's something here for everyone (assuming you like Stacy Valentine in the first place).

The floating control pad on my computer screen wouldn't le me go straight back to the main menu from the first-person sex; I had to stop the DVD and run through the FBI warning to get to it. On regular DVD players this might not be a problem, if you have a "menu" button on your remote.

The first-person sex wasn't quite as varied or as long as on another DVD of this type I've seen (My Plaything with Tera Patrick), but with all the other games and scens included here, that's not a big deal.

Too many of the angles in the first-person sex were close-ups, of Stacy's face, ass, or pussy. I really prefer whole-body shots, and the only position that did this well was Stacy on the bottom, angle 1 (you can view each position from 2 camera angles).

Lastly, for some reason I couldn't fast forward through the "chasing stacy" sequence, while I could in all the other parts of the DVD. You might want to do this to get extra ogling of Stacy sunning herself in a bikini, or other segments that come toward the end of that section.

I give it a 9. If you're a Stacy Valentine fan, there's a ton of good stuff here, with enough variety that you won't get quickly bored watching the same short scene over and over. The gripes I mentioned are all relatively minor. I'm looking forward to seeing if VCA comes out with additional "Chasing" titles with other stars.
