A long time ago in a land about an hour south from here, a movie called Hot Blooded sat on my family's video shelf for a few hours every day. It always seemed to make its way out the door by the end of the day though. The box cover featured a big shot of Angel's gorgeous face and nothing else. That was all it took to make sure that Hot Blooded was one of the best renting titles in our little store. Is the movie as hot as the box? It certainly had its moments. It stars Angel looking as beautiful as ever as the lead in a movie that starts out as a family drama and ends up as a sexy video store comedy. It features Kay Parker and Colleen Brennan as well as two of the cutest B-Girls of the era, Cara Lott and Karen Summer. Now that it's on DVD we will have to see if this popular and sexy flick from the 80's stands up two decades later.

Sexy Angel wakes up in the morning to the sound of her mother getting some sunrise cock. The action shifts from a hot masturbation scene to Kay Parker and R Bolla getting busy. Watching her suck Jeremy's big stick is certain to put some serious starch in your shorts. Even if the scenes are too short, she is just too fucking beautiful to be missed. Cara and Karen also give us something to be happy about. That double blowjob is really hot and Karen's reverse cowgirl proves that she is a highly underrated performer. The transfer is pretty good so we get decent picture considering the original print. As a classic DVD, it's very good and certainly worthy of a nomination as such. I still like this movie almost as much as I did twenty years ago. Angel is a star and I'm sure that a lot of you wish we could see her working with someone like Jules Jordan in her prime. (For what it's worth, Angel is one of the three most stunning porn women I have ever seen in person.) If you like classic porn, want to add some hot Angel to your collection or just want to see what Ron Jeremy, Herschel Savage and Cara Lott looked like twenty years ago, give this one a look.

Starring: Angel, the star of this film, is billed as "The Incredible Angel," and she is. She may not be the best actress in the world, but she does a fabulous job as a sexy, independent college student. She has two sex scenes (one with Ron Jeremy) and a masturbation scene, all of which are amazing. Kay Parker, as the mother, shows her age but still has an exciting sex scene at the beginning of the movie. Colleen Brennan and Harry Reems have one sex scene in the backroom of a video store, and they both seem to enjoy themselves enough to make it well worthwhile.

The values were fairly good. Shot on film, decent lighting, and no tiptoeing around lingering on sex scenes. The acting could be improved. . . there seem to be a couple of flubbed lines, and Kay Parker is especially unbelievable in the mother/daughter argument scenes. However, Angel's stepfather is good, and Harry Reems and Colleen Brennan do well as a shy couple who experience sexual enlightenment while watching a porno tape.

Excellent. Angel is truly amazing whether alone or with a partner, and she is definitely the star of this film. Even when clothed (as she is in a couple of scenes), she has an unmistakable sexuality that's undeniably exciting. However, the sex scenes without her sizzle as well. Her two college friends have girl/girl and menage a trois scenes, and Harry Reems and Colleen Brennan go at each other like crazed lemurs.

One word: Angel. Anytime she's onscreen, it's impossible to look away.

The plot is admittedly simplistic. . . a teenager boffs her mom's boyfriend to get out of the house, then moves in with her uncle who happens to own an adult video store that needs new managers. Thankfully, there are few stretches where the plot lingers onscreen long enough to get annoying.

The rest of the movie can't wholly live up to the standard Angel sets in her scenes, but it's still a good flick that rarely gets boring. Good production values, decent acting, great action scenes. I'd give it an 8.
