Veil Movie

Veil Description: "Two years before "Thriller," Boris Karloff hosted The Veil a never-broadcast ten-episode pilot of a TV horror anthology for the Hal Roach Studios in 1958. Though The Twilight Zone and One Step Beyond wouldn't make their debuts until 1959, The Veil uncannily evokes both by presenting "true and authenticated" stories of ordinary people who experience some aspect of the bizarre or supernatural - ghosts, precognition, and even Jack the Ripper intruding into their lives.

"In addition to his duties as a genteel host – in which Karloff greets us from in front of a gigantic flaming fireplace that makes it look like he's hosting from Hell – Boris also starred in nine of The Veil's ten episodes, making this a rare treat for Karloff fans.

"This special double-disc set includes all ten 26-minute episodes, directed by such genre luminaries as George Waggner (The Wolf Man) and Herbert L. Strock (I Was a Teenage Frankenstein), and starring such familiar faces as Patrick Macnee, Robert Hardy, Niall MacGinnis, Clifford Evans, Morris Ankrum, Eve Brent, and even a young George Hamilton – presented uncut and digitally remastered from 35mm fine-grain prints, complete with Theremin theme music and spots for where the "Sponsor's Message" should be placed.

"So please join Boris Karloff for another journey into the world of the unexplainable which lies behind… The Veil.

"Episodes:
Vision of Crime
Girl on the Road
Food on the Table
The Doctors
The Crystal Ball
Genesis
Destination Nightmare
Summer Heat
The Return of Madame Vernoy
Jack the Ripper
